If you haven't sold any tickets yet, you can remove reserved seating from your event and switch back to general ticketing.
This article covers how to turn off reserved seating and revert an event to general ticketing. If you're setting up reserved seating for the first time, see Create a reserved seating event. If you just need to block or reserve specific seats without removing reserved seating entirely, see Add holds to a reserved seating event.
Remove reserved seating
- Unpublish your event.
- Go to Tickets and delete all ticket types, add-ons, holds, and promo codes.
- Select Edit Venue Map and go to Tiers.
- Delete all tiers by mousing over each one and clicking the trash can icon.
- Save your changes, then exit the venue map.
- Go to the Build event page and disable Reserved Seating.
- Save your changes.
If you re-enable reserved seating afterward, your event will use the seating map you created previously.
Common questions
Can I remove reserved seating after I've sold tickets?
No. Reserved seating can only be removed if no tickets have been sold. If tickets are already sold, you'll need to keep reserved seating enabled or contact support for other options.
Will I lose my venue map if I remove reserved seating?
No. Your venue map is saved and will be available again if you re-enable reserved seating on this event or reuse the map on a future event.
